FAQs

  • Is Ford's Theatre appropriate for young children?

It's recommended that you don't bring children under 8 years of age as they may not be able to handle the museum exhibits, which cover the topics of assassination, death, and hanging. If you're not sure if an exhibit is appropriate, check with a staff member and they'll be able to guide you.
  • Can I bring food?

You are welcome to bring your own food to Ford's Theatre. Or you can purchase snacks and drinks from the concessions that are located in the lobby sections. Please be advised that no food of any kind is allowed in the historic and exhibit areas although bottled water is permitted.
